Historical and Collectible Significance:

This medal commemorates the 25th anniversary (1966) of Peru’s victory in the 1941 conflict with Ecuador.
Although referencing WWII-era dates, this is a post-war commemorative issue, awarded to veterans or participants to mark long-term recognition rather than wartime decoration itself.

Such medals were often privately worn and later modified, which explains the ribbon alteration seen here.

Summary:

An authentic Peruvian military commemorative medal marking the 25th anniversary of the 1941 campaign.
While the medal itself is original, the ribbon shows non-original modifications, fully disclosed and visible in photos.
A solid historical piece for collectors of Latin American military medals or WWII-era commemoratives.
