Description:

Original WWII Polish Military Eagle Cap Badge – wz. 39

This is a genuine WWII struck (not cast) Polish eagle cap badge used by the Polish Armed Forces in the East (PSZnZ). It was produced in Palestine, likely in a local or field workshop, using a damaged die that had been repaired and reused.

This is clearly visible in the flawed impressions on the right wing and shield – strong evidence of wartime improvisation and rare among surviving examples.

The eagle is originally silver in color (white metal or silvered brass), although a brownish patina has formed over time, as seen in the photographs.

Key features:

  • wz.39 crowned eagle with detailed wings and curved shield

  • Dot-border design on the base

  • Struck badge – not cast!

  • Die flaw clearly visible on the right wing and amazon shield

  • Broken screw post (please see rear photos)

Condition:

Used with visible patina and age-related wear. The original screw post is broken, but the badge remains complete and visually impactful. The die flaw and production origin add historical and collectible significance.
Please examine all photos for detailed condition and authenticity.

This eagle badge is a valuable addition for collectors of WWII Polish militaria, historians focused on Anders’ Army, and museum displays documenting Middle East wartime production and field conditions.
