The medal features a red enamel Maltese cross, surrounded by a laurel wreath and topped with a spread-winged eagle.
The central oval medallion depicts an allegorical female figure holding a sword and lamp, symbolizing justice, knowledge, and duty, with the inscription:
“MILITARY ORDER OF THE WORLD WAR.”
The reverse is plain, numbered 1030, and maker-marked MEDALLIC ART CO. N.Y., one of America’s most respected medal manufacturers.
