Obverse features an eight-pointed star with alternating green and red enamel rays and faceted silver elements. The central medallion displays Arabic calligraphy.
Reverse bears the tughra (calligraphic monogram) of Ali III ibn al-Husayn, Bey of Tunis (1882–1902), confirming the period of issue.
