Historical and Collectible Significance:

The Order of Nichan Iftikhar was instituted in 1835 by the Bey of Tunis and became one of Tunisia’s highest decorations awarded for distinguished civil and military service.

The Commander grade was worn around the neck and typically conferred upon senior officials, high-ranking officers, and foreign dignitaries.

Original silver examples with intact enamel remain desirable among collectors of North African, Ottoman-influenced, and colonial-era decorations.
