Medal Design:

Obverse:
Eight-pointed star with radiating rays and central Arabic inscription.
The inscription reads: "خدمة الشرطة"
translated as “Police Service.”

Above the star appears the Royal Crown of the Kingdom of Iraq, with crossed police batons behind the suspension.

Reverse:
Central Arabic inscription within a circular medallion reads: "المملكة العراقية"
translated as “Kingdom of Iraq.”

Below the crown suspension is the maker hallmark: “HUGUENIN SUISSE”

indicating manufacture by the Swiss medal producer Huguenin Frères of Le Locle, Switzerland.
